About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated end-to-end UI tests and frameworks for ReactJS middle-office applications migrating to AWS, covering critical user journeys and real-time features.
- Run automated UI, API, contract, and performance test suites within CI/CD pipelines to serve as quality gates on all builds and deployments, ensuring reliability and fast feedback.
- Lead migration and data validation testing during modernization efforts, including parallel-run comparisons and coordination with business analysts and developers for acceptance criteria and coverage.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years in test automation or software engineering in test.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one UI automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver or WebdriverIO) plus familiarity with another.
- Proficient coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Java; experience with REST API test automation and BDD (e.g., Cucumber) scenarios.
- Experience running automated tests in CI/CD tools such as Harness, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins; SQL querying skills for test data setup and validation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and scaling UI automation frameworks, particularly with modern ReactJS applications and real-time web features (WebSockets, SSE).
- Hands-on with AI-assisted testing tools to speed test code generation and maintenance, with ability to evaluate AI outputs critically for meaningful coverage.
- Familiar with financial services domain testing including trading, settlement or collateral systems, and modernization program testing such as parallel runs and data reconciliation.
