About This Role
- Design and build Java 17+ microservices and REST APIs on AWS for middle-office functions such as trade processing and reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain ReactJS/TypeScript front-end components for enterprise data-heavy applications, connecting them to backend APIs with secure authentication.
- Leverage AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Devin) daily for code completion, refactoring, testing, and legacy code analysis, while ensuring code quality and security.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience, primarily backend focused.
- Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST API design, multithreading, and messaging systems (Kafka and/or IBM MQ).
- Hands-on AWS experience with ECS/EKS or Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Proficient with ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and professional use of AI coding tools in software delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building scalable, secure cloud-native microservices in a financial services or middle-office domain is preferred.
- Comfortable integrating AI developer tools into daily workflows to enhance productivity without compromising quality.
- Skilled in modern agile teams with strong involvement in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform experience preferred).
