About This Role
- Lead engineering on a multi-year modernization and migration program of middle-office applications to AWS, including hands-on full-stack development (ReactJS front end, Java back end, DevOps pipelines).
- Establish and operate the program's AI-augmented delivery model to accelerate discovery, code conversion, testing, and deployment with measurable productivity gains.
- Hire, coach, and manage a permanent full-stack engineering team, ensuring technical standards, delivery plans, and control compliance are met for cutover and ongoing platform evolution.
Minimum Requirements
- 16+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading modernization or cloud migration engineering teams.
- Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST API design, Kafka/IBM MQ, and performance tuning.
- Strong skills in ReactJS (hooks, TypeScript, Redux), modern front-end testing, and building data-heavy UIs.
- Practical experience with AWS (compute, networking, IAM, HA/DR), CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, Oracle databases, and hands-on use of AI coding assistants in delivery.
