About This Role
- Manage, monitor, and maintain databases and related system resources to ensure availability and performance standards.
- Build, create, refresh, and move databases; configure High Availability, Load Balancing, and failover solutions in a 24/7 environment.
- Oversee database operations for production and non-production environments including installation, upgrades, automation using Terraform and cloud services (AWS and OCI).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Typically 10+ years of relevant database engineering experience required.
- Experience with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL database software including installation and patching.
- Preferred to have AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional); HR Services industry experience preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise with AWS services related to databases (Amazon RDS, Aurora) and DevOps automation tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience coordinating with software engineering teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex database and infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and database support processes in technically complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
