About This Role
- Develop and enhance enterprise backend features for PayPal's Unified Notification Platform, supporting multi-channel communication like SMS, Email, and Push Notifications.
- Design and implement scalable, high-throughput distributed systems capable of processing billions of notifications monthly.
- Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to understand business/customer needs and provide reliable platform solutions including troubleshooting and bug fixes.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-4 years of software development experience with strong Java programming skills including Core Java, J2EE, and Spring framework.
- Experience designing and building RESTful services, understanding HTTP, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, OOP design patterns, multi-threaded programming, SQL and NoSQL databases.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend systems within large distributed platforms.
- Ability to independently navigate complex architecture and contribute to system design and cross-functional collaboration.
