About This Role
- Lead design, development, and delivery of backend services and APIs for enterprise payment solutions within Allstate Dealer Services claims systems.
- Own applications in production, ensure adherence to engineering best practices, and contribute to platform architecture and technical direction of microservices and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable, reliable technology solutions that improve customer experience and reduce operational complexity.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years software development experience using Java and J2EE technologies including Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks.
- Proficient in designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and experience with relational databases and SQL development.
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments (Kubernetes/Docker), and production application support.
- Work Experience Required: 6+ years of relevant software development experience in Java/J2EE backend systems.

- Experienced in building scalable, high-volume, distributed backend systems with strong focus on reliability and performance.
- Technically adept with modern backend engineering practices including microservices, API design, test automation, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
