Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications for business-critical financial technology solutions, focusing on document ingestion and digitization platforms.
- Own and revamp document scraping and transformation tooling to support digitization of regulatory and policy documents and maintain FIS’s regulatory mandate catalog.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Knowledge Engineers, and Business SMEs to deliver reliable, secure, and performant parsing tools and applications with independent architectural decisions.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language with end-to-end full stack application ownership.
- Experience with back-end development including APIs, services, distributed systems, and working with relational or non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of software design principles, secure coding, source control, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in independently owning and scaling full stack applications especially in tooling for document parsing and transformation.
- Comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams including product, business experts, and solution leaders, taking ownership over platform design decisions.
- Background or familiarity with financial services, fintech, or regulatory domains and cloud platforms or Agile/DevSecOps environments is a plus but not mandatory.
