About This Role
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance on accounting, reporting, and auditing for Oaktree’s diverse investment fund portfolio including open-end funds, CLOs, and risk retention vehicles.
- Review and approve monthly and quarterly close processes including pricing, fees, expense accruals, reconciliations, and ensure compliance with U.S. and U.K. GAAP, IFRS, and investment company accounting rules.
- Supervise annual audits, coordinate regulatory filings, manage cash and expense analysis, and oversee collaboration with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or a mix of public accounting and investment management roles.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred; CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation, account analysis, and investment company accounting principles; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word mandatory; familiarity with Geneva/Geneva World Investor systems preferred.
- Experience with CLO accounting and risk retention vehicles preferred; experience with PowerBI, Alteryx or other data analytic tools desirable.
