About This Role
- Lead engineering teams managing booking systems for Conventional Lodging and Vacation Rentals, responsible for end-to-end reservation transactions across all Expedia Group brands globally.
- Define and execute multi-year technical and organizational strategy focusing on scalable, high-performance, resilient, and modular event-driven platform architecture.
- Manage 50-60 engineers, drive engineering excellence, set engineering metrics, and collaborate cross-functionally including senior leadership to align roadmaps and strategy.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years in professional software engineering with experience in large-scale, distributed, multi-service platforms.
- 5+ years of people leadership, managing multiple teams and 40+ engineers (ideally 50-60).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
- Proven technical leadership in transactional/order management or e-commerce platforms with deep experience in service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in large-scale platform modernization and decomposition of monolithic systems into modular domains.
- Familiar with AI/ML integration for enhancing platform reliability and decision-making in production environments.
- Proven success leading globally distributed engineering teams and driving engineering and operational excellence in high-scale transactional systems.
