About This Role
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts primarily using Python and Bash/PowerShell for software used by Fortune 500 companies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions and workflows, ensuring software quality across multiple platforms including Windows/macOS and cloud environments (VMware vCloud, AWS, Azure).
- Collaborate with developers to identify test scenarios from specifications, debug CI/CD pipeline issues, and document test cases in TestRails.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on automation coding skills in Python; C++ automation experience is a plus.
- Strong experience with test methodologies including unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and interoperability testing.
- Familiarity with test frameworks like Google Test, NUnit, Python Behave, and experience running automated tests on Docker containers and Virtual Machines.
- Location: Must be based in or near Chennai for hybrid work arrangement (3 days office).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in implementing and managing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using GitHub integrations, demonstrating operational independence.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup collaborating with cross-location teams (Chennai, Bangalore, US) on large-scale enterprise software impacting security and availability.
- Proficient in multiple scripting and tooling environments (Git, Bazel, Shell scripting, YAML, Docker) with a practical understanding of cloud platforms and code quality tools (SonarQube, CodeQL).
