About This Role
- Review and analyze loan applications including documentation and borrower creditworthiness using the 4 C's methodology for mortgage underwriting.
- Prepare detailed underwriting summaries, document conditions in the Loan Origination System (preferably Encompass), and recommend loan structures ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Manage workflow including risk identification, quality assurance, stakeholder communication, reporting, and mentoring junior team members within a US shift work environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-3 years of live underwriting experience in mortgage or lending industry (Mandatory).
- HSC and Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory).
- Proficiency with Loan Origination System (LOS), preferably Encompass.
- Immediate joiners preferred; location: Navi Mumbai (Work From Home) with US shift (6:30 PM to 6:30 AM).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise in income calculation from diverse sources including self-employed and multiple income streams.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex loan scenarios, identify risks, and maintain compliance with underwriting regulations.
- Capable of mentoring junior underwriters and managing fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with attention to detail and process adherence.
