About This Role
- Design, build, and operate scalable, secure backend services and APIs for a cloud-native AI-assisted medical imaging platform.
- Own backend systems end-to-end including development, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and production reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, frontend, ML, DevOps teams and help set engineering standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go with production-quality code.
- Experience building and running large-scale distributed systems with high throughput or concurrency.
- Hands-on experience with REST/gRPC API design, PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS, AWS cloud services, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in system design including microservices, event-driven architecture, and failure handling for production systems.
- Able to independently own services in production including on-call and mentoring junior engineers (Senior level).
- Comfortable working in distributed teams across India and the US with strong communication skills.
