About This Role
- Develop and enhance SQL test cases and performance tests for the Teradata Query Optimizer.
- Lead a small team of feature testers and improve testing methodologies focused on Optimizer quality and robustness.
- Collaborate with developers on identifying critical performance issues, fixing database code discrepancies, and developing additional testing tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 10-12 years overall experience with 6-9 years in R&D based development/testing teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (MCA acceptable).
- Development experience with strong programming skills in C; proficiency in SQL (ANSI/Database specific) mandatory.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines; experience in Shell scripting, Perl, Python is desirable.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in software development lifecycle including software design, test planning, coding, integration testing, and bug fixing for database/optimizer components.
- Able to technically lead small teams and work collaboratively with project leads and senior developers in a complex R&D environment.
- Comfortable with scripting, automation, and CI/CD methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and robustness.
