About This Role
- Lead design, development, and operation of platform features and tools supporting the software development lifecycle across Mercari services.
- Set technical direction and make architectural decisions for platform initiatives impacting scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Mentor engineers, guide technical standards, manage migrations, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable platform solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing, operating, and maintaining complex, scalable production systems including cloud-based platforms.
- Strong computer science background and deep knowledge of a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on proficiency with container platforms (Kubernetes/Docker), infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform), and scripting or programming languages like Bash, Go, or Python.
- Strong written communication skills and experience mentoring engineers; employment location Bengaluru with hybrid workstyle (2 days onsite per week).
