About This Role
- Lead design, development, and operation of platform features and tools that support the software development lifecycle for Mercari services.
- Set technical direction for platform initiatives, including architecture decisions and cross-team collaboration.
- Improve platform stability, scalability, security, observability, and automation while mentoring engineers and guiding platform adoption.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 8 years experience developing, operating, and maintaining complex scalable production systems including cloud platforms.
- Strong computer science background with in-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with container platforms like Kubernetes or Docker and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder collaboration.
