About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services primarily in Scala and Java within a cloud-native, event-driven architecture.
- Contribute to system and service architecture decisions, focusing on distributed systems, microservices, Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Front-End, and SRE teams to deliver user-centric solutions and ensure high standards for code quality, reliability, and performance.
Minimum Requirements
- 10 to 18 years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Strong experience with Scala (Pekko/Akka, Cats, Cats Effect) and/or Java; Python knowledge is preferable but not mandatory.
- Practical experience with Event Sourcing, CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, designing microservice architectures, resilient APIs, Kafka, and cloud-native AWS development.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and both relational and non-relational databases.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior-level engineer with deep expertise in building scalable, distributed systems and expertise in event-driven architecture and microservices.
- Experienced in driving architectural decisions and collaborating across multiple teams including Product and SRE in agile environments.
- Familiar with production-grade cloud-native technologies on AWS and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
