About This Role
- Design and build batch and streaming data pipelines on cloud data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Develop data models and construct data warehouses and lakehouses, ensuring query and pipeline performance optimization.
- Prepare data to support ML models and GenAI applications, including building AI features such as LLM-powered workflows and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
- Strong skills in SQL (including window functions and query optimization), data modeling, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks, orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt or similar), at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP), and one data platform (Databricks, Snowflake or similar).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in data engineering with practical cloud and data platform exposure, comfortable working across AI, ML, and data engineering domains.
- Able to manage end-to-end data foundation building and AI feature development including integration with LLM APIs and RAG techniques.
- Has a track record or interest in applying orchestration, CI/CD, and data quality best practices within client-facing projects.
