About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Visual Studio Code extensions and developer productivity tools using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Build and automate CI/CD pipelines for extension development and deployment using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and high-performance developer tools with comprehensive testing and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- 6–8 years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, and hands-on experience with VS Code Extension API.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline development, Docker containerization, Kubernetes deployment, and DevOps automation tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E) or M.Tech; Work Experience Required: 6–8 years.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in building VS Code extensions integrating REST APIs, AI services, and developer tools, with expertise in Language Server Protocol (LSP) and Debug Adapter Protocol (DAP).
- Skilled in scalable software architecture design with proficiency in testing frameworks like Jest/Mocha and code quality best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, mentoring juniors, and familiarity with .NET technologies (.NET 6/7/8, C#) is a plus but not mandatory.
