About This Role
- Hands-on software engineering involving automation of development environment, issue triaging, and evaluation of unit test coverage and quality in public GitHub repositories.
- Analyze and triage issues across trending open-source libraries; set up and configure codebases including Dockerization and environment setup.
- Collaborate with researchers and potentially lead a team of junior engineers related to LLM evaluation on software engineering tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- Strong experience in Go programming language.
- Proficiency with Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.
- Work commitment of at least 20 hours/week with 4 hours overlap in PST timezone (contractor assignment).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in navigating and modifying complex real-world codebases, preferably public open-source projects on GitHub.
- Skilled in practical software engineering as well as comfortable collaborating with AI researchers on LLM evaluation projects.
- Capable of leading small teams while managing technical tasks in a remote, contractor-based environment.
