About This Role
- Own hands-on software asset management (SAM) activities including license reconciliation, entitlement vs. deployment analysis, compliance assessments, and license optimization.
- Manage compliance and risks related to Tier-1 publisher licensing such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, and VMware/Broadcom, ensuring alignment with licensing changes and agreements.
- Develop and automate SAM reporting and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Power Apps, Python, and advanced Excel for improved license management and stakeholder communication.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-4 years of work experience in Software Asset Management, ITAM, software licensing, or license compliance.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree.
- Master of Computer Applications degree.
- Strong knowledge of Tier-1 publisher licensing models, particularly IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, VMware/Broadcom.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with SAM/ITAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Python scripting, and Power BI or similar tools to automate and visualize software licensing data.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex license agreements and work independently managing compliance and optimization for enterprise clients.
