About This Role
- Develop and maintain Python-based services and APIs on AWS for platform integrations across multiple healthcare products.
- Design and implement decoupled, event-driven systems using messaging and streaming technologies in a modern cloud-native environment (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CDK).
- Contribute to AI-driven automation for faster API and customer onboarding, improve platform observability, and ensure secure healthcare data exchange compliant with HIPAA through FHIR-based APIs.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience building and supporting production software.
- Strong Python programming skills with emphasis on clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Working knowledge of core AWS services including Lambda, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT), distributed systems basics (asynchronous processing, retries, idempotency), and experience troubleshooting production issues using logs and metrics.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working with modern cloud-native stacks and messaging/streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or EventBridge.
- Ability to leverage AI coding assistants effectively while maintaining sound engineering judgment and ownership.
- Background or interest in healthcare data standards (FHIR, HIPAA) and infrastructure automation concepts (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, CDK).
