About This Role
- Administer, optimize, and maintain the WAAP platform including WAF, API security, bot protection, and DDoS mitigation to protect web applications and APIs.
- Monitor and analyze application traffic to detect and mitigate security threats, tune WAF policies to balance protection and false positives.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to onboard new applications securely and improve overall application security posture.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years cybersecurity experience with focus on web application security, network security, and engineering functions desired.
- Proven experience in WAF / WAAP technologies and strong knowledge of application security concepts including OWASP Top 10.
- Experience analyzing HTTP/S traffic, web application logs, API security concepts including REST, OAuth, JWT, and API authentication.
- Hybrid work model with average 2 days per week onsite at HPE office; Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or equivalent preferred.

- Experienced Security Operations Engineer with demonstrated technical leadership in WAAP platform administration and incident response.
- Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments, able to build scalable capabilities and improve automation to reduce manual effort.
- Strong communicator skilled at explaining complex technical security issues to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally.
