About This Role
- Design, deploy, operate, and optimize enterprise-scale Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform middleware infrastructure, including KRaft controllers and Confluent Operator on OpenShift.
- Manage Kafka security, topics, ACLs, brokers, and monitor platform performance; troubleshoot production issues including message loss, latency, and consumer lag.
- Automate middleware operations, conduct capacity planning, support incident and change management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for platform delivery and risk compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience supporting large-scale Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform environments.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering, Middleware Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong skills in Kafka components (KRaft, Schema Registry, REST Proxy, Connect, ksqlDB), Kafka on OpenShift with Confluent Operator, security (TLS, certificates, authentication), and automation scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible).
- Experience with enterprise production environments and understanding of technology risk, governance, and compliance in Banking/Financial Services sector.
