About This Role
- Build and own LLM-powered travel discovery features including chat, content understanding, and recommendations on a NestJS and TypeScript backend.
- Manage orchestration, tool calling, memory, evaluation, and model selection to optimize quality, latency, and cost of AI responses.
- Develop and maintain RAG systems and pipelines using embeddings, vector search, and databases like Qdrant, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB, while improving production performance and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience with strong TypeScript and Node.js skills; NestJS experience preferred.
- Experience shipping at least one LLM-powered feature to production using Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic APIs with expertise in prompt design and tool integration.
- Working knowledge of embeddings, vector search, RAG patterns, and production experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or Redis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; location requirement: Mumbai (work from office).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in end-to-end feature ownership from unclear requirements to shipped AI/LLM features with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable balancing AI system trade-offs including response quality, latency, and cost in production environments.
- Familiar with AWS fundamentals (EC2, S3, SQS) and advanced AI tooling for evaluation, caching, and model routing, ideally with prior AI startup experience.
