About This Role
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI-enabled and automation solutions for GSK's MES Development Team, delivering reusable agents, APIs, and automation components.
- Translate the global MES AI and automation strategy into prototypes and scalable production solutions, ensuring solutions comply with security, Responsible AI, validation, and governance standards.
- Drive AI engineering practices adoption by coaching developers, coordinating cross-functional AI activities, and delivering operational support with >99.5% availability and measurable business impact.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Automation, Data, Life Sciences, or relevant technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on AI/software engineering experience in complex enterprise or operational technology environments.
- Experience with Python, C#/.NET, SQL, PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON/XML, Git/GitHub, automated testing, and code review.
- Experience in regulated-system governance, validation, audits in GxP or comparable controlled environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven technical leadership in AI solution design and deployment within complex enterprise or operational environments, balancing hands-on development and strategic coordination.
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with Architecture, Product, Infrastructure, AI/platform teams, vendors, and global stakeholders to align AI solutions with enterprise standards.
- Capable of driving AI adoption through coaching and standardization, focusing on scalable, secure, reliable AI solutions that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
