About This Role
- Own delivery of software engineering tasks including design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation to meet business requirements.
- Develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions primarily for payment system security, authentication, fraud prevention, and risk mitigation.
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams for project support.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree also acceptable.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE technologies with Spring Boot, JUnit, Hibernate, Web Services, REST APIs and working knowledge of SQL, PL SQL, Oracle/Postgres, Redis.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and familiarity with test-driven and behavior-driven development (TDD, BDD).
- Basic knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud-based development, web technologies (JavaScript, Angular JS), and payment or security domain knowledge (PCI DSS) viewed favourably.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a diverse, globally distributed team environment and learn new technologies rapidly.
