About This Role
- Administer, optimize, and lead administration of the Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) platform including WAF, API security, bot protection, and DDoS mitigation.
- Monitor and analyze web application and API traffic to identify and mitigate security threats, including tuning security policies to minimize false positives.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams for secure onboarding, incident response, and continuous improvement of application security posture.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, focusing on web application security, network security, and cybersecurity engineering functions (desired, not strictly mandatory).
- Proven experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) / Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) technologies and strong understanding of web application security concepts including OWASP Top 10.
- Experience with API technologies like REST, JSON, OAuth, JWT and analyzing HTTP/S traffic, security events, and logs.
- Hybrid work model with average 2 days/week onsite at HPE office in India (location implied but not explicitly stated).
