About This Role
- Build and ship backend services and APIs with some UI components for new email security products, managing projects end-to-end from design to production.
- Develop data and state handling features, including scheduled and background jobs, ensuring product reliability through testing, monitoring, and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate features within upstream and downstream systems and use AI tools for development enhancement.
Minimum Requirements
- Around 2 years of professional software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Full-stack development experience with a strong backend focus, specifically backend development in Python and/or Go including REST API design and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers (Docker), and exposure to Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and production observability practices (logging, metrics, alerting, debugging).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Engineer capable of independently taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion with minimal supervision.
- Experienced in backend development emphasizing reliable, testable code and production-grade system maintenance.
- Able to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams and apply AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully in the engineering process.
