About This Role
- Manage and modernize enterprise MSSQL database environments, including automation and operational strategies for cloud and on-premise databases.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize database server setups such as high availability, clustering, Always On, replication, and disaster recovery for critical data.
- Provide daily operational support by handling incidents, change requests, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance and data protection standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including 7 years supporting MSSQL databases on Windows OS with stand-alone and HADR configurations.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud database migrations, preferably AWS, and high-availability solutions.
- Experience in T-SQL scripting and working in private, public, government, or military environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in Agile Scrum environments with strong documentation and process flow skills.
- Hands-on expertise in SQL Server upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and customer-facing large-scale environments.
- Broad IT knowledge including cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), open-source databases, automation (PowerShell/shell), and readiness to handle rotational shifts and on-call support.
