About This Role
- Design and implement Python-based extract/load pipelines and dbt transformation models for data migration from Informatica PowerCenter to modern data stack.
- Develop Airflow DAGs to orchestrate ETL workflows and maintain production-quality, functionally equivalent outputs at enterprise scale.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, perform peer code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and handover materials.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of Informatica PowerCenter experience including mappings, sessions, workflows, and parameterization.
- 3+ years of hands-on dbt Core experience including model layering, macros, tests, and incremental materializations.
- 5+ years of Python experience including production use for batch data processing and parallelism.
- 5+ years of SQL experience handling complex joins, window functions, and aggregations on large datasets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in translating complex Informatica workflows into Python, dbt, and Airflow for large-scale enterprise migrations.
- Proficient with Python-based database connectivity tools like SQLAlchemy, cx_Oracle, or pyodbc and high-volume data movement tools such as Oracle Data Pump or SQL Server BCP.
- Capable of mentoring junior and mid-level engineers in offshore delivery environments and collaborating through peer reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
