About This Role
- Lead design and delivery of complex cloud-native platform components, owning full lifecycle from design through production operation.
- Serve as technical lead for major features, translating ambiguous problems into scalable, executable designs aligned with broader platform architecture and technical strategy.
- Maintain hands-on involvement in coding, reviewing, and mentoring while ensuring reliability, scalability, and engineering excellence of Kubernetes operators, controllers, and platform services.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native platforms in production.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating Kubernetes platform infrastructure including Operators, Controllers, CRDs, and automation using Go and frameworks like Kubebuilder or Operator Framework.
- Experience operating managed (EKS, AKS, GKE) and self-managed Kubernetes environments with knowledge of Kubernetes internals including orchestration, scheduling, security, networking, and storage.
- Work Experience Required: 12+ years in relevant domain.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes platform engineering, including development of platform extensions (Operators, Admission Controllers) and managing stateful/distributed workloads such as databases on Kubernetes.
- Experienced in driving technical strategy and architectural decisions through collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional partners.
- Strong background in distributed systems, cloud native infrastructure automation (Terraform, Crossplane), observability, and operational excellence in large-scale Kubernetes environments.
