About This Role
- Design, develop, test, and deliver reliable, scalable Java backend solutions for the thinkorswim platform within an Agile Scrum team.
- Own full lifecycle implementation of development stories from requirements analysis through production support including troubleshooting and triage of production issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define strategy, scope requirements, conduct code reviews, and deliver platform capabilities with focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years experience in Java software application development.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Java concurrency, multithreading, relational databases including efficient SQL, and automated testing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum development environment and familiarity with production support processes and tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing or supporting high-transaction, distributed, real-time, or mission-critical financial services applications.
- Skilled at mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical design documents, architecture discussions, and process improvements.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with product owners, QA, infrastructure, and technology partners to deliver complex software solutions aligned with business goals.
