About This Role
- Own end-to-end BI modernization including migrating SAP BusinessObjects reports to IBM Cognos and building scalable data models and dashboards using Snowflake/Databricks.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes within the BI platform.
- Lead migration projects including designing reusable metric definitions and semantic layers to support long-term platform consolidation and self-service analytics.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects and IBM Cognos for report authoring, scheduling, and performance troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in SQL with expertise in joins, window functions, aggregations, and query tuning.
- Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks including data modeling and working with large datasets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing large-scale BI platform migrations and modernization, especially involving SAP BusinessObjects, Cognos, Snowflake/Databricks.
- Skilled in applying AI-assisted software development tools within enterprise SDLC practices and coaching teams on responsible AI usage.
- Comfortable working with BI migration complexities such as data warehousing concepts, dashboard migration, and reporting reliability in regulated domains like financial services.
