About This Role
- Lead underwriting and analysis of high-net-worth commercial real estate loans, including borrower financials, tax returns, and collateral performance.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda with lending recommendations and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulations.
- Monitor and manage loan portfolios, including covenant compliance, annual reviews, and handling loan renewals, modifications, and servicing requests.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience (or equivalent through work, training, military, or education).
- 5+ years of Commercial Real Estate Collateral Underwriting experience.
- 5+ years of Credit Underwriting and Risk Assessment experience.
- 4+ years evaluating property cash flows and metrics like NOI, DSCR, and valuation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in comprehensive financial and credit analysis for complex, high-net-worth and entity borrowing structures.
- Skilled in evaluating various commercial real estate asset classes and related third-party reports to assess collateral risk.
- Able to independently resolve moderately complex underwriting issues, lead initiatives, mentor junior staff, and collaborate cross-functionally.
