About This Role
- Lead design, development, and deployment of Kubernetes-native backup and restore solutions for Portworx, focusing on cloud-native services operating reliably at scale.
- Drive architectural and technical decisions for the product, mentor engineers, and ensure high engineering quality through reviews and standards.
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features including design documentation, implementation, testing, and production readiness.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of development experience in enterprise-grade products for private or public cloud (examples: vSphere, Openshift baremetal, AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Expertise in Golang or C++ programming languages.
- Experience building scalable systems for Kubernetes using operators, CRDs, controllers, CSI, and designing GRPC/REST APIs.
- Must work from Bangalore office; 5 days in-office environment with exceptions only for PTO or approved leave.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in distributed systems, particularly storage or network domains with knowledge of consensus, cluster membership, scalability, and resilience.
- Demonstrated ability to deeply troubleshoot problems involving Kubernetes, storage vendors, OS, and performance across user and kernel space.
- Proven individual leadership and mentorship experience including solving ambiguous technical problems and driving engineering quality.
