About This Role
- Develop and maintain data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from various sources to target databases using cloud tools like AirFlow, Glue, Stitch, Cloud Data Fusion, and DataFlow.
- Design and implement Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure using technologies like Redshift, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL at terabyte scale.
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance through indexing, query tuning, and efficient schema design while collaborating with customers to understand and break down complex data engineering requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-2 years experience required for Data Engineer I or 2-5 years for Data Engineer II in data engineering projects.
- Hands-on Python programming experience between 1-5 years with strong coding skills and knowledge of algorithms/data structures.
- Experience implementing ETL/ELT processes and designing data pipelines in public cloud environments AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with tools like AirFlow, Glue, or similar.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science preferred; certifications or courses in Data Engineering are highly preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven ability to work with large-scale data systems including Data Lakes, Warehouses, and Marts deployed on major cloud platforms.
- Experience in performance tuning of OLAP/OLTP databases and writing efficient SQL queries including use of advanced SQL functions.
- Comfortable breaking down complex requirements into executable tasks and engaging directly with customers to clarify needs.
