About This Role
- Design, build, and operate foundational data services such as cloud-based storage, data orchestration (Airflow), batch processing (Spark, SQL), and streaming (Kafka).
- Develop and maintain SDKs for data integration and processing used by internal teams and build self-service tools for data pipeline management and troubleshooting.
- Create services enhancing data security, observability, quality, cataloging, and lineage, and implement scalable solutions requested by analysts, ML, and security teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with senior-level ownership.
- Proficient in Python, Go, or Java backend development.
- Experience with data systems or data pipelines and familiarity with scale-out designs, caching, key/value, and columnar storage patterns.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Airflow for operational data analysis.
