About This Role
- Design, build, and evolve scalable distributed backend systems and high-throughput data processing pipelines with a focus on concurrency, efficiency, and fault tolerance.
- Own critical services end-to-end including technical design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production operations, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead architectural decisions and improvements involving distributed storage, messaging systems, asynchronous workflows, and drive modernization while maintaining production stability.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience designing, building, and operating complex production backend systems.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, concurrency, asynchronous processing, consistency, and fault tolerance.
- Strong proficiency in Go, or comparable backend programming experience with ability to be productive in Go.
- Experience designing and operating systems using messaging technologies such as Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, or AWS SQS.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing high-throughput data pipelines across distributed, cloud-native backend systems with operational ownership.
- Capable of making pragmatic engineering trade-offs and reasoning about failure scenarios and system behavior under load.
- Able to lead technical design discussions and collaborate across teams to shape platform capabilities and technical direction.
