About This Role
- Lead a team of ~25 engineers in India, owning engineering delivery for major components of the Alpha Data Platform.
- Own technical direction, software lifecycle execution, and architecture of scalable, resilient, security-focused enterprise data platform solutions.
- Partner with Product Management and cross-functional teams to build and improve a strategic platform that serves State Street and enterprise clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience including leadership of teams managing enterprise-scale production systems.
- Strong technical expertise in Java, distributed systems, database design, and cloud-native/event-driven architectures.
- Proven ability to hire, mentor, and develop engineering teams; experience with software engineering best practices including automation, testing, and observability.

- Experienced leader who balances strategic technical direction with pragmatic software delivery in complex data platform environments.
- Deep hands-on expertise in designing and delivering scalable, high-quality platforms for data-intensive enterprise applications, preferably in financial services.
