About This Role
- Design, build, and operate production-grade AI services integrated with manufacturing execution systems (MES/EMES), focusing on retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflows under human oversight.
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications for shop-floor and office users, including backend APIs with secure authentication and responsive frontends optimized for time-pressured, gloved usage.
- Lead the architecture and design of multi-tenant distributed systems with regulated-grade data integrity, event-driven data flows, and cloud/on-prem hybrid deployments compliant with GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- 10-12 years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years building and operating web applications and 2+ years delivering AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production.
- Expert-level SQL and relational data modeling skills with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL or equivalent databases.
- Experience designing multi-service, multi-tenant platforms on AWS with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and infrastructure as code.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior engineer with combined deep AI/ML production experience and full-stack development skills in Python (FastAPI), TypeScript (React), and optionally Java (Spring Boot).
- Strong expertise in regulated industries like pharmaceutical manufacturing and MES/EMES systems with understanding of compliance standards ISA-88, ISA-95, 21 CFR Part 11, and GxP.
- Architectural ownership mindset with proven ability to design scalable, secure, and reliable distributed web and data systems incorporating enterprise-grade AI services.
