About This Role
- Own the technical design of GSK's network segmentation and security platform, including defining reference architectures, patterns, and standards for secure, scalable, and consistent solutions.
- Provide design assurance to engineering teams by reviewing designs against standards before build and architecting for reliability, resilience, and AI-assisted operations.
- Set architecture standards for internal and supplier solutions, ensure security and compliance (including GxP), and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security on roadmaps and exceptions.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in technology or engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 15 years overall work experience with 6-8 years in technology architecture or senior engineering; at least 3 years producing reference architectures or standards.
- Deep experience in enterprise network security and segmentation services, including identity-based access, firewalls, microsegmentation, and secure zones across information and operational technology.
- Experience designing secure and compliant solutions (ideally including GxP), architecture review, and setting standards for supplier or managed-service solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced platform architect with strong domain expertise in network segmentation, cloud, or digital workplace platforms focused on security and resilience by design.
- Operationally strong in design assurance, able to influence engineering teams without direct authority and enforce architecture standards.
- Strategic mindset capable of integrating AI reference patterns for intelligent operations, evaluating technologies based on outcomes, and managing technical debt pragmatically.
