About This Role
- Own the technical foundation and engineering lifecycle for Pfizer's Digital Quality portfolio, ensuring platforms are compliant, secure, and supportable across SaaS, COTS, and custom solutions.
- Lead a global engineering team (8–10 direct reports plus matrix and contract resources) managing platform engineering, solution architecture, integration, DevSecOps, and vendor delivery.
- Act as principal liaison between Digital Quality and enterprise technology functions, aligning on standards, architecture, security, and governance across multiple geographies and portfolios.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
- 10+ years in software/platform engineering or engineering management with portfolio accountability (7+ years with PhD, 9+ with MS/MBA).
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platform engineering, integration architecture, CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and security pipelines.
- Experience leading global engineering teams including matrix leadership of vendor/contract staff across geographies; Ability to travel up to 20%.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing engineering for regulated environments, preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar, with knowledge of GxP validation and compliance automation.
- Demonstrated ability to govern engineering delivery across SaaS, COTS, and custom-built solutions with vendor and partner management.
- Strategic operator with strong financial management skills, able to handle ~$10M annual budget and shape sourcing strategies for complex global tech portfolios.
