About This Role
- Participate and contribute to low to moderately complex software engineering projects focused on network automation, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts/processes using Python, Ansible, and related technologies to improve network application workflows such as compliance and configuration management.
- Lead and collaborate on standards development and best practices for deploying network automation solutions in complex network environments with Cisco/Arista products and orchestration platforms.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years experience in advanced scripting using Python, Ansible, YAML, and developing/using RESTful APIs.
- 2+ years experience in Linux OS environment and version control systems like Git/GitHub or SVN.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computers or Electronics preferred with 2+ years Networking/Network Automation experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in creating automation workflows for network applications, including compliance and configuration management in complex environments.
- Knowledgeable about networking protocols and Cisco/Arista hardware (ISR, ASR, Nexus, Cisco ACI Fabric) with hands-on experience in Ansible orchestration and playbook creation.
- Able to lead projects, influence standards and best practices, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and provide peer mentorship in network automation engineering.
