About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices with a focus on high performance and resilience.
- Build and integrate APIs and enterprise platform connections including event streaming and legacy system connectivity.
- Provide L3 production support, troubleshoot issues across stack, and ensure secure, compliant, and smooth release cycles using CI/CD tooling.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience as a Java backend engineer.
- Mandatory skills: Java, Spring Boot (or similar), RESTful API development, Microservices architecture, SQL/NoSQL databases, Git source control.
- Location requirement: Work from U.S. Bank location in Chennai at least 3 days per week, shift timing 11 AM - 8 PM.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing scalable, resilient microservices and APIs for enterprise or customer-facing applications.
- Knowledgeable in system integration patterns, event-driven architectures (Kafka preferred), and cloud/DevOps practices.
- Capable of working in Agile teams, supporting production environments with strong problem solving and release management skills.
