About This Role
- Own and maintain 2-3 assigned Java Spring Boot microservices including API development, Kafka integrations, and production support.
- Develop and improve scalable, high-performance REST APIs and event-driven systems with operational responsibility for deployment and incident management.
- Lead code reviews, automate testing, document business logic, and mentor junior developers within an agile, distributed team environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and MySQL.
- Full-time onsite role based in Mohali, Punjab, working JST time zone (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM).
- Experience required with Docker, Kubernetes (including Helm charts), REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI or ArgoCD).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced backend developer comfortable with ownership of complex microservices and production support up to L3/L4 escalation.
- Skilled at designing secure APIs with JWT/OAuth2, implementing event-driven integrations, and managing container orchestration in Kubernetes.
- Familiar with agile workflows, cross-functional collaboration across time zones, and mentoring junior engineers within a distributed team.
