About This Role
- Execute server and workload migrations primarily to AWS, including assessment, replication configuration, test and production cutovers, and post-migration validation.
- Configure and operate AWS Application Migration Service and other migration tools, troubleshooting related infrastructure, networking, and application connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders to plan migration waves, develop runbooks, and identify automation opportunities to improve migration efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2 years hands-on cloud migration or cloud infrastructure experience.
- Hands-on experience migrating Windows and/or Linux servers to AWS or another public cloud, including using AWS EC2, EBS, VPC, security groups, IAM, and migration tools like AWS MGN or equivalent.
- Strong Windows Server and/or Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, plus knowledge of VMware or similar virtualization.
- Work Experience Required: 6+ years in IT infrastructure including 2+ years hands-on cloud migration. Location requirement: Tamil Nādu, India.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Direct involvement in executing real server or workload migrations from on-premises or virtualized environments to public clouds, ideally with AWS focus.
- Strong infrastructure background in Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, networking, and storage, with experience troubleshooting complex migration issues.
- Comfortable operating in an execution-focused engineering role working closely with cross-functional technical and customer teams to deliver predictable, repeatable, and high-volume migration projects.
