About This Role
- Execute enterprise workload and server migrations from on-premises, VMware, or other clouds primarily to AWS.
- Configure and operate AWS Application Migration Service and perform migration readiness assessments, test migrations, and cutovers.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and OS issues during migration, collaborate with technical teams, and create migration runbooks and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 6 years IT infrastructure experience with at least 2 years hands-on cloud migration or cloud infrastructure experience.
- Hands-on experience migrating Windows and/or Linux servers to AWS or another public cloud; practical knowledge of AWS EC2, EBS, VPC, security groups, and IAM.
- Experience with AWS MGN, Azure Migrate, VMware HCX, RiverMeadow, or similar server migration tools.
- Work Experience Required: 6+ years in IT infrastructure including cloud migration experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced engineer with strong Windows/Linux server administration and troubleshooting skills involved directly in migration projects.
- Comfortable operating migration tools, performing production cutovers, and handling post-migration validation independently.
- Familiar with network, storage, DNS, Active Directory, and application connectivity troubleshooting within migration contexts.
