About This Role
- Lead design, modernization, and governance of enterprise applications ensuring they are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned to business outcomes.
- Guide technical implementation decisions and own engineering decisions, including their operational consequences, across multiple interdependent systems and standards.
- Collaborate across enterprise teams and vendors to improve application quality, accelerate delivery, reduce technology risk, and support modernization and cost-optimization goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software/application engineering, solution delivery, cloud engineering, or related disciplines.
- Strong hands-on experience with software development, API design, cloud services (AWS), distributed systems, troubleshooting, and production support.
- In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, enterprise integration, engineering governance, technology risk management, and security/compliance frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading engineering review forums, defining and enforcing technical governance and operational readiness standards.
- Strong cross-functional influencer able to secure alignment across engineering, security, infrastructure, product, and vendor teams without direct authority.
- Comfortable working in a primarily office-based role with overlap in US Pacific Time hours and occasional extended hours for global collaboration.
