Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own and operate the end-to-end ABA billing revenue cycle including eligibility, authorization, charge and claim production, denial management, AR follow-up, and cash posting.
- Lead and manage the ABA billing pod responsible for operational performance and client-facing RCM metrics like net collection rate, denial rate, days in AR, and clean claim rate.
- Ensure strict alignment of authorization, session notes, and claims through three-way matching with detailed control of codes, rendering providers, and payer requirements across multiple states.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 6 years in US healthcare revenue cycle, with minimum 3 years focused specifically on ABA or autism services billing.
- Proficiency in key RCM metrics: net collection rate, days in AR, AR over 90 days, denial rate, first-pass resolution rate, clean claim rate, and cost to collect.
- In-depth knowledge of ABA billing codes (97151-97158 and Category III), authorization and unit management, and Medicaid and commercial payer ABA billing rules across multiple states.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing billing teams accountable for client metrics; role is full-time onsite with no remote option.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader comfortable with deep operational control over ABA revenue cycles and able to drive root cause denial elimination rather than reactive rework.
- Expert in multi-state Medicaid ABA payer rules and commercial autism-related mandates, with a strong command of authorization compliance and billing code discipline.
- Able to implement and sustain team cadence and metric accountability independently, ensuring continuous improvement on key RCM KPIs like denial rate and AR aging.
