About This Role
- Own and develop clinical AI algorithms end-to-end including problem formulation, data strategy, modelling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring in production.
- Design and train deep learning models (CNN, transformers) and classical ML models for medical imaging applications, ensuring clinical accuracy, robustness, and latency.
- Lead technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, and manage production engineering aspects such as deployment, GPU inference optimization, MLOps, and cloud/on-premise infrastructure management.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/MS/M.Sc. from IIT, IISc, IIIT, BITS Pilani or equivalently selective institute in CS, ECE, AI, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative field with strong academic record.
- 5-8 years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience with multiple years shipping deep-learning systems into production; medical imaging or healthcare AI experience preferred.
- Proven product ownership: Clear personal ownership of at least two production AI/ML systems from data through deployment and monitoring with measurable outcomes.
- Expertise in Python, PyTorch and/or TensorFlow/Keras, classical ML, production engineering tools (Linux, Git, Docker, FastAPI, CI/CD), and cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior AI engineer with a track record of independently shipping and operating clinical AI products in medical imaging or healthcare sectors.
- Technical leader comfortable with end-to-end system ownership including data pipelines, model development, deployment engineering, and reliability monitoring at scale.
- Practitioner of rigorous model evaluation with strong statistical/machine learning depth and direct collaboration experience with clinical specialists (radiologists).
